Santiago, Chile: Some Food and Some Chilean Repair Work

Today was the end of my first week of classes!  To celebrate, after class, Kim and I got ourselves treats before studying--a chocolate cupcake and a raspberry tart, each of which we split and shared.  After our snack, we made plans for the weekend (we're going to Valparaiso in the morning, so look out for something interesting tomorrow!), then got some hot chocolate and headed our for the cold walk to our respective homes (it was only 50F and rainy today).

On the way home, I saw the scene above, and just had to take a picture.  While there are many things in Chile that are similar to those in America, some things just aren't quite the same.  Take a good look...if you don't see it, look harder...alright!  Yes, the ladder is in fact supported by power lines, but don't worry--the man has a harness around him (which is attached to the ladder), so it's all good :-)
